In 2005, Swarovski and Disney collaborated to bring Disney's awesome characters into crystal life. Swarovski's "Disney's Showcase Collection" was the original gang of characters depicted in clear crystal. The unforgettable, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Tigger. The Disney Showcase Collection is now retired.
Other collector favorites of the Swarovski Disney collection include: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Dopey, Grumpy, Sleep, Bashful, Sneezy, Doc, and Happy. There is Bambi's crew of Thumper, Flower, and Friend Owl. Winnie the Pooh's clan of Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet cannot be forgotten! Most of the Swarovski Disney Winnie the Pooh clan retired in 2010. Next is the Lion King clan: Mufasa, Simba, Pumbaa, Timon. Following that roaring bunch was the Peter Pan collection, featuring Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. And Swarovski's most current Swarovski Disney cooperation is the colorful re-creations of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet.
In 2014, Swarovski introduced a whimsical line of colored Disney characters, calling them ' Cuties'. Disney Cuties include Marie (Aristocats), Lucky (101 Dalmatians), Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Winnie the Pooh. The Swarovski Disney Cutie figurines are are colored characters using the new Swarovski crystal formula.
Within the Swarovski Disney series collection, Swarovski has integrated Swarovski Limited Edition figurines. Tinker bell was the chosen design, available only in 2008. In 2009, Mickey Sorcerer was the selected figurine. Pinocchio made his stand as the 2010 limited edition piece. Swarovski Dumbo was restricted to production in 2011. The 2012 limited edition was Swarovski Stitch. Also in 2012, there are 2 other notable Swarovski Disney Limited Editions: (another) Stitch, Disney Limited Edition of 626 units, and Disney Christmas Tinkerbell. In the Swarovski Disney collection, a limited edition crystal figurine is only available at most for a single calendar year. 2013 welcomed more Limited Edition Mickey Mouse figurines!
For the collector who enjoys this cross of crystal and Disney combination, there are Arribas products and Arribas Limited Editions that use Swarovski pave stones in the Disney character design. The Arribas figurines add a colorful sparkle to the Swarovski Disney collector's crystal collection display.
In 2013, Swarovski introduced a new way of categorizing and aligning figurines within their marketplace. As a result of the changes to the Swarovski Product Lines, the Swarovski Disney figurines are now officially a part of Swarovski Characters.
Prior to 2012, crystal figurines used to include product literature with the Swarovski Disney crystal characters. Now, Swarovski no longer includes a Swarovski certificate in the box, but instead asks clients to retain register receipts to verify their crystal Disney purchase for warranty reasons. The boxes for the Disney figurines are the newer Swarovski blue packaging.
